--The Houston Chronicle (October 9, 2018):
Jason Luong - Democratic Party: ★★★★
"A graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Luong worked in civil law before joining the Harris County District Attorney's office. In that role he prosecuted members of Aryan Brotherhood under Texas's hate crime statute. He also clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Royal Furgeson.
Luong was born in Vietnam and moved with his family to the United States after the fall of Saigon. He went on to graduate from Rice University and University of Texas School of Law in Austin. The 43-year-old considers the judiciary an opportunity to give back to the country that has given him and his family so much.
Overall, his credentials and judicious personality are so impressive that he would be a strong contender for any court race."
Character matters. "
